As a Senior Financial Accountant (f/m/x) based on-site in Cologne, you will serve as the central point of contact for all accounting and financial statement matters. With your keen eye for detail, you will ensure that our financial processes run seamlessly and that our figures are accurate and reliable.

This one-year temporary position offers you the opportunity to take on responsibility within an agile, internationally-focused technology company and gain valuable professional experience in an innovative environment.

This is you

• You are an experienced accountant (f/m/x) with a completed commercial apprenticeship or a degree in business administration.
• With at least 3 years of professional experience in financial accounting, you feel confident and competent in your area of specialisation.
• HGB and Datev are daily tools for you, which you use routinely.
• You speak German to at least C1 level and can also communicate confidently in English, especially in an international environment.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Ideally, you already have knowledge of IFRS and MS D365 or are willing to familiarise yourself with these topics.

This is your role

• You will process incoming and outgoing invoices independently and ensure that all postings are made accurately and on time.
• You will prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and, if available, contribute your knowledge of IFRS.
• You will be responsible for the inventory valuation of our projects and ensure that these are presented correctly and clearly.
• Accruals and provisions are part of your area of responsibility - you create, maintain and update these on an ongoing basis.
• You will carry out intercompany reconciliation (IC) independently and work closely with international teams.
• You will contribute to the digitalisation and optimisation of our financial processes, leveraging your expertise in Datev.
• You will support the ERP implementation of MS D365 to enhance efficiency and improve workflows.

Note: The position is temporary for one year as part of a pregnancy replacement and takes place on site in Cologne. It can be part-time (75%) or full-time (100%).
