We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to join our FinTech agile squad for an exciting project with a major client in the telecommunications sector, based in Bratislava. As part of the FinTech squad, your primary focus will be on designing and developing innovative financial and content-related products. If you are passionate about backend development and want to be part of a dynamic, innovative team, we’d love to hear from you.

This is you

• Proven experience as a backend developer with good knowledge of Java, Spring framework, RESTFUL APIs, and related technologies (at least 2 years of full-time development experience and at least 2 different projects / customers).

• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code. 
• Solid knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, data structures and algorithms, design patterns, architectures.
• Ability to work within an agile team environment. 
• Good communication skills, close cooperation with product owner, analysts, architects, designers and other squad members.
• Pragmatic and positive approach and ability to work with incomplete specifications and changing priorities. 
• Taking ownership and responsibility to deliver working solutions.
• Slovak and English language are a must. 

This is your role

• Collaborate with analysts, architects, designers and other squad members in all the phases of the product development, especially during preparation of the technical designs.
• Implement code based on the technical design, prepare unit tests, fix bugs, perform code reviews and refactoring as needed.
• Take technical ownership of selected components or modules. Improve quality of code, prepare technology upgrades, remove technical debts.
• Analyse and resolve production incidents and issues (3^rd level of technical support)
• The basic salary component from 2000 EUR gross per month - the exact amount of the salary depends on the actual knowledge and experience, qualifications and expertise of the candidate
